MEET YOUR LEAD CONSULTANT

Jethro Gilbert is a leadership and operations advisor with a proven track record delivering projects across the tourism, humanitarian, business, government and NGO sectors throughout NZ, Australia, and the Pacific. With a background as a New Zealand Army officer and founder of the Future Leaders Academy, he brings calm, practical leadership to complex environments—whether on a remote island, boardroom, in a cyclone-damaged village, or across multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Over the past decade, Jethro has partnered with eco-resorts, adventure tourism operators, government services, and island communities to strengthen team culture, improve guest and visitor experiences, and support smooth,

efficient operations in off-grid and remote locations. He has also worked alongside NGOs, government agencies, and grassroots organisations to design and deliver youth leadership programs, disaster response efforts, and community development projects across Fiji, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands, and beyond. He has also led multi-year, multi-region government services, responsible for multi-million dollar contracts.

His culturally aware, outcomes-driven approach helps organisations grow capable local leaders, improve day-to-day operations, and deliver real impact—whether you're running a lodge, coordinating a volunteer mission, or meeting strategic corporate and government goals.

Veterans Retreat Design

Jethro was invited to serve as an advisor for the Transition On veterans program, contributing to the design and delivery framework of a national initiative supporting Defence personnel in their transition to civilian life. Drawing on his leadership development and facilitation experience, he helped shape a program model that builds identity, resilience, and renewed purpose for veterans and their families.

Disaster Relief Advisory
Following Cyclone Lola, Jethro led the design and management of a humanitarian recovery initiative in Vanuatu, overseeing project planning, NZ Government liaison and funding coordination, and reporting to the local Ministry of Education. The mission focused on restoring access to education by assessing cyclone-damaged schools across remote islands, combining operational leadership with community engagement and inter-agency collaboration.

The team has extensive experience designing and delivering leadership, resilience, and transition programs across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.
